Buddhist Distance Learning Programs: Om Namo Avaokiteshvara Maha Karuna Bodhisattva Mandala! Namo Chen-Re-zig! Om Mani Padme Hum! - Patron Saint of our Tibetan Buddhism Correspondance Course. In the Tibetan Medicine Tantras (Four Tantras or rGyud bzhi), Buddha Shakyamuni describes Avalokitesvhvara (Guan Yin) as a Supremely Enlightened Sage who has inconceivable powers of healing. The special healing blessings of the Great Compassion Bodhisattva may be realized by reciting her sacred name or Sanskrit mantra. In Tibetan chant "Om Namo Namo Ratna Tra Ya Ya, Namo Arya Jnana Sagara, Vairochano Byu Rajaya, Tathagataya, Arhatay, Samyaksam Buddhaya, Nama Sarva Tathagathaya Bhya, Arhatay Bhya, Samyaksam Buddha Bhya, Nama Arya Avalokiteshvaraya, Bodhisattvaya, Maha Sattvaya, Maha Karuni Kaya, Tadyata, Om Dhara Dhara, Dhiri Dhiri, Dhuru Dhuru, Ittay Vattay, Chalay Chalay, Prachalay Prachalay, Kusumay Kusumah Varay, Ili Mili, Chiti Jala Apanaya Svaha." In Sanskrit chanting "Aum Namo Ratna Traya Namo Aryavalokiteshvaraya Bodhisattvaya Mahasattvaya Mahakarunikaya Om Sarva Abhaya." "Tadyata Aum Bhaisajay Bhaisajay Maha Bhaisajya Raja Samudgatay Svaha". For centuries, Ayurvedic and Tibetan Medicine Doctors and other Buddhists have been reciting this mantra prayer, to bring an ultimate healing of spiritual disease, in addition to cures for everyday problems of the body and mind.
